Thirteen hundred people came to the Nature Center on October 6 for Nature Fest 2013. They joined us for an amazing variety of demonstrations and presentations, including Karuk and Maidu cultural demonstrations, fly fishing demonstrations; presentations on energy and water conservation, native plants, raptors and other native birds, snakes, bats, ethnobotany, frogs, mountain lions and bugs. Attendees could even make their own abalone necklaces, fishing lures and salmon hats.
