Kids walking on trail in the Nature Preserve

Fall nature camps are offered during school Thanksgiving break.

Each camp focuses on the incredible natural world and includes lessons and crafts or other activities, and a hike. We encourage kids to dress appropriate for the weather (usually layers for fall) and to wear clothes that can get a bit dirty. We wil be outside, after all!

Camps are daily and five hours each. Descriptions, dates, times and fees will be listed under each weekly camp title. Please refer to the column to the right for info on how to register.

Post-Camp Care: 3 pm – 4 pm (No post-camp care for Camp 5)

Camps are listed below by age range: 5, 6-7 and 8-11. We can’t wait to have your child join us!

Cancellation/Refund Policy

A cancellation fee of 10% will apply to all cancellations made more than 14 days before the start of a camp. No refunds will be given if cancellation is 14 days or less before the camp. A rescheduling fee of $10 will apply for each camp change requested. A 24-hour notice to reschedule is required. Please note that the ACTIVE Network processing fee is non-refundable as that is a fee not collected by EYNC.

Covid-19 Safety Protocols

At this time, masks are recommended but not required during camps (both for indoor and outdoor activities). Campers, EYNC Staff, and EYNC Volunteers have the choice to wear or not wear a mask or face covering. We closely follow CDC guidelines and err on the side of caution. In the event there is a rise in cases, we may return to our required mask use while participating in indoor activities with masks being strongly recommended when outdoors as social distancing may not always be possible. When social distancing is not possible, masks may be required even while outdoors to ensure the safety of all participants if we return to our mandated mask policy based on CDC updates. Hand sanitizer and masks will continue to be available for use for anyone who requests them. Social distancing will be practiced when possible (exception for those who are same household/social bubble). Camps will be held mostly outdoors with some indoor activities dependent upon the camp. Parents or guardians are expected to complete a COVID-19 Health Screen Waiver for each camp to ensure everyone’s safety and wellness. By signing the camp COVID-19 waiver during the registration process, you agree to follow the Effie Yeaw Nature Center’s COVID-19 policies and any updates to it.
