Nature of Things Speaker Series

Gain in-depth knowledge from subject matter experts who take participants from informational seminars to hands-on field studies. A variety of science-related subjects are covered in this series that runs from late summer through late spring each year.

The UC California Naturalist Program is designed to introduce Californians to the wonders of our unique ecology and engage the public in study and stewardship of California’s natural communities. To become a certified California Naturalist, participants must complete a 40+ hour course, offered at Effie Yeaw Nature Center each Spring and Fall.

Young at Heart Programs

Adults Exploring the Nature Preserve

Offer your residents the chance to waken the child within by allowing us to bring our resident animals and biofacts for a talk about native animals at your facility. 

Offered on weekdays (Monday – Friday).
