Effie Yeah Nature Center - Outside Exhibit Hall with Rainbow

Dear Effie Yeaw Nature Center Members,

In March I reached out to you to request your vote to approve the Amended and Restated Bylaws for the American River Natural History Association. I am very happy to report that the proposed Bylaws were approved with a final tally of 313 yes votes and 21 no votes. The revised Bylaws are posted above.

The new Bylaws will help guide our organization as we continue to professionalize our Board and staff, and grow into the future. Importantly under the new Bylaws we will continue to be an active volunteer and membership organization. We will bring our membership together at events throughout the year, including Annual Membership meetings to solicit input and report on our activities. Our Board meetings are open to the public and members are welcome to attend. There are many ways for our members to be active in our organization, notably we rely on volunteers to assist in all aspects of the Nature Center.

If you have not done so recently, please check out our website for information on the board of directors, as well as all of our events, and programs www.sacnaturecenter.net.

I would like to thank you for your engagement in reviewing and approving the American River Natural History Association’s new Bylaws.

The Board is very grateful for your continued support!

Laurie Weir

President, Board of Directors
