Effie Yeaw Nature Center’s Assembly Building Available for Rent for Mission Compatible Events

Located in the stunning American River Parkway, right next to a 100-acre nature preserve, the Effie Yeaw Nature Center’s Assembly Building is available for rent to organizations and agencies for meetings, workshops and educational programs, and also for a limited number of special events that are compatible with the Effie Yeaw Nature Center’s mission.

The Assembly Building was dedicated in 2004 and is a large building, with a flexible interior layout and a covered patio. Inside it can hold 100 to 130 people in a single room or, when the building’s two interior movable partitions are in place, it can be divided into three individual rooms that can seat 20 to 50 people. This three-classroom layout works well for classes or meetings or workshops.

Because of the building’s location on the beautiful American River Parkway, there are some restrictions on its use. We must be sure that the events that take place do not interfere with the 2008 American River Parkway Plan and the policies guiding the use of the Preserve that is adjacent to the Assembly Building. For example, loud amplified music is not allowed anywhere in the building or on the grounds. Non-amplified acoustic music is permissible.
