Bird and Breakfast Raffle 2015

Tickets are available NOW for the the Bird and Breakfast raffle! We will draw winners during the event on Saturday, March 21. No limit on number of tickets - the more you buy, the better your chances of winning one of the exciting prizes below!


Raffle tickets are only $5 and may be purchased at the event or beforehand, in person at the Nature Center or by calling (916) 489-4918. You do not have to be present at the event to win.

Western Birds Field Guide Signed by Author Roger Tory Peterson

Roger Tory Peterson was the pre-eminent American naturalist who illustrated and chronicled the natural world to the public in the 20th century. Over a long career he observed, recorded and published for audiences the incredible beauty and diversity of plants and animals from North America and around the world. Credited as the inventor of the modern field guide, Peterson's books remain valuable resources for nature-enthusiasts today.

This autographed copy of the third edition Western Birds Field Guide is a rare find and will certainly be a treasured addition to any bird-lover's library.
Discoverer Spotting Scope

The Discoverer is a versatile, high performance 15-60x 60mm spotting scope offering a wide range of functions. Multicoated lenses provide maximum light transmission for a bright clear image. A rubberized surface protects the scope in a wide variety of situations. With the addition of two simple adapters (197-387) and a camera body adapter, the Discoverer becomes a 1000mm to 4000mm telephoto zoom lens for most 35mm lens reflex cameras. Handcrafted Afghan Blanket

This lovely afghan was knitted by one of the Nature Center's own staff members, JoLynn Jarrett. Using deep midnight blue and winter white yarn she created this one-of-a-kind piece. Perfect for wrapping up on a rainy day or beautiful as a throw on your couch, this afghan is sure to be much-used and well-loved!
