"Painting Where The Wild Things Are"  Art Gala and Auction
"Favorite Spot" by Terry Pappas
ARNHA, the Sacramento Fine Arts Center and the Effie Yeaw Nature Center hosted a sold out crowd for the June 2012 Art Gala and Auction.  Terry Pappas juried the art show and donated her beautiful painting, "Favorite Spot" to the auction.
l. to r. Marcy Friedman, Pat Mahony and Boyd Gavin

Painters Pat Mahony, Boyd Gavin and Marcy Friedman donated a colaborative work.  Its unusual provenance occurred when the trio met for a plein air outing. Friedman – a respected patron of Sacramento art and culture -- began the work. Mahony and Gavin added their touches to complete a group effort.

Some 300 people enjoyed an evening with  friends and fellow nature- and art-lovers; joined in a lively auction of art from some of Sacramento's premier artists; browsed irresistible silent auction items; listened to music by Lisa Phenix and Michael Threadgall, Jr; and enjoyed delectable food by Spoons Encore Catering and beer and wine from New Belgium Brewing Company and Beyond Napa Wine Merchants.
